SPARK representatives visited today Children’s home Mostar. On that occasion, five laptops were donated and a Memorandum of Understanding was signed. The Memorandum, signed by Matea Markić Vučić, in front of the SPARK school, and Dalida Demirović, director of Children’s home, officially marked the beginning of the project “STEM for Everyone”.

“STEM for Everyone” is a project implemented by the SPARK school in cooperation with the Federal Ministry of Education and Science. Through this project, children, protégés of Children’s home Mostar will get an opportunity to develop 21st-century skills. Children will develop skills of critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, communication, information, media, and technology literacy. The project will enable them to acquire the skills of flexibility, leadership, taking initiative, productivity, and at the same time will strengthen their social skills.

“We are grateful for the opportunity to conduct workshops at the Children’s Home through a project supported by the Federal Ministry of Education and Science. We are looking forward to working with children. In our experience, school children are proven to be the most active and ready to learn and acquire new skills”, Matea Markić Vučić said.

The donated computers will be used for the implementation of the project activities and workshops that will follow.

Throughout November, SPARK educators will be involved in children’s education, where they will get to know mBot and other educational robots through play and practical examples.
